Philosophy

The Brasier teaching philosophy provides simple, effective training schedule’s and access to traditional ‘quality’ golf instruction. The Brasier philosophy of teaching golf is based on the fundamental concept of improvement in the game in a fast efficient manner. “The key is not the “will to win” – everybody has that. It is the will to prepare and practice that is important”.

From teaching Royalty and Prime Ministers the Brasier name has stood the test of time and is synonymous with good solid traditional golf lessons. Douglas, Brett and Michael have together experienced well over 100 years of teaching golf in 10 different countries around the world.

Ever since Brett was sponsored by his regular students to visit David Leadbetter in Florida, while teaching in Australia—he & Michael have strived to keep up with all ‘on-going’ coaching trends however, they’ve never moved too far away from the basic ‘traditional’ golf teaching that has been handed down through generations. Indeed, they have that rare gift of seeing the problem, and perhaps most importantly—how to go about fixing it efficiently!—sounds pretty straight forward but it has required over 100 years to perfect it.

There are many qualities that go into making a good player but what of the ‘qualities’ of a good golf coach?—the resistance of the temptation of over analysis, patience, the use of soft words, finesse and the mastery of timing while retaining a good sense of humor come to mind–all this and much more Brasier & Son seem to have in abundance.
