27 May Harry had a hit in the Caribbean
The British royal family has had a relationship with golf with the Queen’s parents King George VI and Queen Elizabeth playing together on their honeymoon in 1923.
Prince Albert and the Duchess of York also had a game during their honeymoon. Prince Phillip was known to have a hit as well as Prince Charles, although Prince Andrew is perhaps the royal family’s most avid golfer and was the captain of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club in 2003. Other members of the royal family who held this position were Edward, Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII); Albert, Duke of York (later King George VI); and George, Duke of Kent.
There’s a famous photo of Prince William having some practice on St Andrews beach in 2003 but golf was not really his sport of choice. However, he did meet Kate Middleton while at the University of St Andrews.
Prince Harry played during an official visit to the Caribbean in November 2016, and in 2017 attended the golf event incorporated in the Invictus Games in Toronto.
Out of Bounds: I never make mistake. I thought I did once, but I was wrong.
