Lady in Pink

So now we know!—-Women use more of the brain than men?

Its official, men use only half their brains to process beauty, while women use their whole brain to do the job. I guess this is something many of us suspected anyway!—–however, researchers were surprised by the added finding that there are also differences between brain activity in women and men when playing golf.

The researchers were perplexed to find this connection with golf, but finally found the answer that women consider a visual object for example; like a pretty tree, flower or bird as ‘an appreciation of beauty’, whereas men appreciate much more watching attractive ladies swinging around the links, especially in pink!- with a pretty little cute bow on the back of their hats.

The researchers tested 100 women and 100 men showing them paintings and photos asking them to rate each as either “beautiful” or “not beautiful”. At the same time the scientists looked at images of the magnetic fields produced by electrical currents in the brains of men and women.

For the first 300 milliseconds, there was no difference between male and female brains, but from 300 to 700 milliseconds activity was significantly greater with male golfers who seemed to switch all their brain power onto wonderful creations such as Paula Creamer!

For both sexes the most active region was the parietal lobe that deals with visual perception, spatial orientation and all kinds of processing golfing information, but curiously it was focused, unfortunately, in only half of the brains of golfing men. Scientists are now trying to find out just why this is?—Hum!—in the meantime women continue to use all their brain cells……….
